Lapping it up with Greendale Construction!
June 2008
What does a builder carry around with him? Maybe a flask of tea, a red top newspaper and a sandwich? Not at Greendale Construction where employees have now been issued with the very latest laptops plus WiFi Broadband in a bid to keep up with the times.
All site managers, foremen and core staff at the Poole based company now have access to their own laptop which will enable them to keep up to date and in touch with head office, clients and building suppliers.
Says Greendale Director Rob Hooker “We are living in a high tech age and ease of communication is an absolute essential for us to provide the best possible service in terms of time management and ensure we keep to schedule which is something Greendale pride ourselves on doing. We have excellent feedback from staff and clients and the laptops are proving to be an invaluable resource.”
High profile jobs the company are currently working on include a £3 million renovation of the former Mansion House hotel site in Poole, which is due to reopen as Hotel du Vin at the end of this summer and appropriately enough a new technology block at Avonbourne School in Bournemouth which includes a lap top computer room, projection and virtual reality facilities.
