Volkswagen Breeze – Project complete!

On Friday we handed over a newly constructed office space to the rear of the sales floor for the General Sales Manager, Nick Rees at Breeze Volkswagen.  This was another project that has been carried out by our Small Works Division with minimal disruption to the car showroom. Handed over on time and snag free – another great project for our Small Works Division.

Latimer House, Poole.

We are nearing completion of 15 state of the art apartments at Latimer House in Poole High Street. The interior designer has done a fabulous job perfectly executed by our skilled workforce creating a high standard of finish to all the apartments. This property was originally a run down vacant office building and has been converted to residential accommodation with extensive re-modelling both internally and externally. These fantastic apartments will be available to let through Airbnb shortly. See below pictures showing the external and internal finishes.

Shire Hall, Dorchester – project complete!

On 2nd February, we were delighted to receive practical completion for our project at Shire Hall, Dorchester.  We would like to share with you some before and after shots so you can see the wonderful transformation of this Grade I listed building, bringing this unique historical building back to life. Shire Hall has undergone a major renovation and internal and external refurbishment, including a new roof, new passenger lift, new incoming water and gas services, as well as internal and external redecoration throughout, and all new mechanical and electrical services. A new visitor reception, shop and cafe have all been constructed at basement and lower/upper ground floor levels within the building.

The court was used until 1955, the rest of the building continued to be used for local government until West Dorset District Council moved to new offices in 2012. Time has stood still at the court and cells, which appear today almost as they did in Georgian times. We have created a visitor attraction conserving the atmosphere of the historic building, but bringing to life 200 years of history. Visitors will be able to explore the historic cells and courtroom and there will also be changing exhibitions, events and a lifelong learning programme.

Swanage Pier, Marine Villas.

We are delighted to share with you our latest project at Marine Villas which has recently commenced for the trustees of the Swanage Pier.   The work Greendale will be involved in will include the formation of a new fully glazed cafe extension with new catering facilities, upgrading and refurbishing of the existing Grade II listed Georgian building.

We will be working very closely with the client and their ‘interpretation’ team on the new museum and shop. See below pictures taken on Thursday 2nd February. You can see the plaster and reed insulation between the joists. You can also see the historical ‘random purbeck stone walling’ where we are enlarging openings for the new museum. Completion is due July 2018.

Volvo Cars, Poole – progress shots.

We are delighted to share with you some progress shots of our site at Volvo Cars Poole Works are in full swing with a handover date for mid February 2018.
