Blandford Brewery

Blandford Forum, Dorset

The phased modernisation programme of the Hall & Woodhouse Brewery in Blandford involved the demolition of the existing packaging hall and bottling building and the construction of a new 10,000 Sq ft fully serviced double portal steel framed building which replaced these facilities.

The reinforced concrete floor slabs laid to falls and finished with coloured resin coating system included a network of stainless steel drainage channels designed to complement the new bottling plant. Acoustic linings and food safe coated finishes to the ceilings and wall linings were provided to the shell. Smart new offices with toilets and ancillary rooms and testing areas have been provided within the main packaging hall.

A similar extension to the existing Tank Farm, including the carefully co-ordinated installation of the fermenting vessels (by client specialists) was carried out in tandem together with alterations to the adjacent warehouses and erection of new canopies and the construction of new loading docks, all with minimum disruption to the brewery operations and beer production and distribution.
