Greendale was appointed as main contractor on the extensive refurbishment of the existing Heathlands School. The school was developed into two schools in a total £5.3 million project to create a modern Heathlands Primary School and a new ASD School, Springwood Campus.
The existing Heathlands School was in much need of modernisation and refurbishment to bring it up to modern day teaching requirements. The classrooms were enhanced with replacement storey height windows and doors, complimented with a new linear roof light, and completely refurbished with new joinery and finishes and re-decorated.
Remodelling of the pupil and staff toilets and refurbishment of the existing toilets and staff admin offices were undertaken in phases including a new library and food tech room, with new break out areas created off the corridors.

Greendale worked with the whole team including Modulek who constructed the pre-fabricated blocks. The project had sectional handovers which were all met. Much of the project was undertaken whilst the school was live and operational, which meant very careful programming and careful management of all health and safety issues. Greendale would like to thank Heathlands Primary School for their assistance and support during the transformation project.
